Fundraising for the Intern Program

Our amazing intern program takes many volunteers to manage and raise the money needed for our operating budget each year. Parents surveyed overwhelmingly stated they prefer to support the program financially by writing one check (Annual Contributions Campaign) at the beginning of the year and be done. They do not want to participate in sales type fundraisers. However, currently less than 40% of our parent population is contributing in this manner.

img_5157Therefore, we have needed other avenues to raise funds – but this requires many people and many volunteer hours. Our goal is to rely solely on Annual Contributions to cover the SEF intern program budget and increase contributions to 80% of families contributing during our focus time in August and September. This would…

  • Lower our need of volunteers 
  • Lower the hours spent on fundraising 
  • Lower the communication that comes from SEF about fundraising
  • Lower the number of times you are asked to contribute!

Corporate Matching

All year long

Our goal: obtain 15% of our annual funding through Corporate Matching.

This is an important part of our program. Through your normal giving, we can raise funds from your employer, sometimes doubling your contribution.

School Community Fundraisers

Teacher Time Raffle – December 5-8, 2022

Thank you to all who participated in the Teacher Time Raffle! It was our biggest year yet with over $6,900 added to our SEF fund! Your support was greatly appreciated!!

Teacher Time Raffle (TTR) is sponsored by the Spanish Education Fund (SEF) and gives students the opportunity to win a special activity or event that the teachers and administrators of EHSI have so generously donated! Money raised goes directly to help fund our amazing International Intern Teaching Program at EHSI.  The Interns provide support to our teachers in so many ways, as well as provide your child with the valuable lesson of cultural diversity.

Cinco de Mayo Fiesta

May 5, 2023 |Minnesota Valley Country Club |6pm – 11pm

 

The SEF will be hosting our annual Cinco de Mayo Fiesta/Fundraiser on May 5th.  This is an adults-only event that is a fantastic celebration of our interns, teachers and the amazing community we share as families with children at Eagle Heights (past and present). Dinner, music, an auction, beer pong and other games are all a part of this fun-filled evening!
