Fundraising for the Intern Program
Our amazing intern program takes many volunteers to manage and raise the money needed for the $100,000 budget each year. Parents surveyed overwhelmingly stated they prefer to support the program financially by writing one check (Annual Contributions) at the beginning of the year and be done. They do not want to participate in sales type fundraisers. However, currently less than 40% of our parent population is contributing in this manner.
Therefore, we have needed other avenues to raise funds – but this requires many people and many volunteer hours. Our goal moving forward is to rely solely on Annual Contributions to cover the SEF intern program budget and increase contributions to 80% of families contributing during our focus time in August and September. Our goal: obtain 15% of our annual funding through Corporate Matching.
This is an important part of our program. Through your normal giving, we can raise funds from your employer, sometimes doubling your contribution.

Support the SEF through Local Businesses!
Our goal: to fund the cost of one intern each year – $6,000.
As a parent suggested idea through a recent survey, throughout the school year families can eat out at a local restaurant on a specific date/time and each restaurant will donate a percentage of sales to the SEF International Intern Program. Families get a night out and great food while helping to support the SEF and its intern program which their students benefit from every day at Eagle Heights, CMS and Eden Prairie High School. Our goal: to celebrate our accomplishments.
This is the SEF’s annual spring adults-only social event. Parents, teachers, staff and interns spend the evening socializing, celebrating and supporting the SEF International Teaching Intern Program. The evening typically includes live auction, silent auction, great food, live entertainment, and games. Look for more information each spring with all of the event details on the Cinco page!

Our goal: parents shop online as they normally would and national retailers donate a percent to the SEF.
Nation wide retail options with ‘portals to shop’ where you can do your regular shopping, designate SEF as your charity of choice and the SEF will receive a percentage of your purchase amounts. The funds here are not substantial, ranging from 0.05% to 5% of your purchase price; however, it allows you to contribute without doing anything extra and without spending anything more than you do in your normal course of living.
